The Sombrero Verses

The following people are credited with for composing these verses-
- Supreeth Achar (The official poet laureate of the revolution)
- TS Prasanna (The official conductor of the revolutionary orchestra), and
- Yours truly (The official leader of the revolution)

The crappy verses are mine. The best ones are Smiley and Billu's

A distant cry..

Oh grand exalted glorious leader!
Show us the way so we may follow!
Lead us forth from burning sorrow
Deliver us to the shade of the sombrero.

The leader answered thus..

Tune the flamenco, buckle up,
Fret not, be it fear or sorrow.
From this day henceforth, thy saviour
Shall be the Sombrero!

And the crescendo rose..

The song of our revolution beckons.
Hark, Listen comrade, he summons us.
Tis the short man under the sombrero,
Dance to his strumming bolero

Watch us men of the Sombrero as we ride,
For we are the kings of cool.
When we pass, you will swallow your pride,
And eat our dhool.

Watch the horses with the wonders bestride,
The moon watching as well, at high tide.
We never let one moment go untilled,
Chewing on cigars, we strum away fulfilled.

Till a rat sold us away..

I know ye two faced scums,
Ye hath no allegiance, devotion or duty.
Blood of the revolutionaries shalt never go in vain.
Hark o' renegade, the Sombreros shall ride again.

Sultan of Samarkand
