Another year goes by

I turn 24 today - twelve thousand kilometers away from the place I was born. There was no cake, there was no birthday bumps, there was no bakar - but there were a couple of sweet friends at the stroke of midnight, there was scrambled eggs for breakfast, Indian food for lunch and a long walk home from a picturesque part of the city.

Year #24 was special - met great people, figured I couldn't fit in with everybody, tuned up the guitar yet again, worked my butt off for the first half of the year and then slacked off completely, cooked up a list of stuff that I would want to do/see before I die, and well, fell for the wrong girl (for reasons beyond my control), yet again!

The next year would probably see going me going somewhere with work and personal life - everything seems to be taking shape well. Life is ephemeral, people come and go and I need to be able to cope with this, and not go all whiny as I was in all of October and November, 2009.

I hope my next b'day would find me in another interesting land with me trying to sample yet another culture of this super awesome world.

Khuda Hafiz,
Sultan
